- 3/4 cup salted butter softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup favorite chocolate chips
- 1 cup cherry chips Gurley's Sweet Cheery Flavored Chips
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a large mixing bowl, use a hand mixer or stand mixer to cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add in the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
Add in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix on low speed until a soft dough forms.
Fold in the chocolate and cherry chips until evenly distributed.
Scoop the dough into 1-tablespoon portions and place them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet (Reynolds pre-cut parchment paper works great!).
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are just set.
Let the cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy with a glass of milk or a cup of hot cocoa!
